Traditional
hydrocarbons facilities are fast becoming
a thing of the past.
The
traditional method of design and installation
of a diesel fuel, lubricants or waste oil
facility has involved the use of single
skin tanks and bunding. Methods of bunding
include concrete base and concrete block
wall; dirt base with a plastic liner and
dirt base with an impervious clay liner.
The
traditional facility is generally a permanent
and fixed piece of infrastructure. Moving
this facility proves to be a costly and
complex exercise
Transtank
facilities do not require any bunding and
are therefore easily relocatable.
All
that is required for the installation of
a Transtank facility is a compacted level
surface and some form of bollarding to protect
the facility from any risk of external collision
